Lunge twist

Perform a forward lunge with trunk rotation toward the outside portion of the forward leg. This exercise can be performed with or without an external load, such as a medicine ball. [ID: lunge_twist]

Instructions

First time: Try 10 reps

Steps:

  1. Start position: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and arms forward
  2. Take a big step forward until your thigh is parallel to the floor
  3. Rotate (twist!) toward your body toward your forward leg and then twist back
  4. Return to start position and repeat with alternating legs
