Dumbbell curl and press

This is a FUN workout. Do a hammer curl immediately followed by a shoulder press. [ID: db_curl_and_press]

Instructions

First time: Do 10 reps, at a light weight

Steps:

  1. Start position: Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, hold dumbbells in each hand with your palms in toward your body
  2. Do a hammer curl (palms in), raising the weights to your shoulders
  3. Continue on to press the weight above your head
  4. Maintaining control, slowly lower the weights to your shoulder, and then back down to your start position

Progressions: Add weight, add sets/reps

You can do this exercise sitting down on a bench or chair.
