Ball squat

Ball squats are a great way to teach individuals how to squat properly. The goal is to have them eventually progress to squats without the stability ball. [ID: ball_squat]

Instructions

First time: Do 10 reps

Steps:

  1. With your legs shoulder-width apart, place the BIG ball in the small of your back and lean against the wall
  2. Lower your body toward the floor in a squat position as you lean back into the ball...lean more to make the squat a little easier and to take pressure off your knees
  3. Straighten your legs, keeping your weight over your heels to return to standing position

This is a great way to safely learn how to do body squats or squats with weights.
